Pizza Port @ MadeWest

Six months ago, MadeWest took a trip down to San Diego to team up with Pizza Port Brewing Company to collaborate and brew, the ever so famous and oh-so delicious, Queen of the Coast IIPA. Ever since then, MadeWest and Pizza Port have been nothing but best friends. We send postcards from our favorite places, stay up late on the phone and text each other taproom gossip...okay, not really, but we have bonded with these awesome guys/gals and consider them family!

Now it was our turn to host them here in Ventura and turn the Queen of the Coast recipe into a hazy double IPA, packed with a tropical juicy hop character, rounded out with a touch of local orange blossom honey. Staying true to the Rincon surf spot reference from our first beer, we named this one Hazy Lines and whipped up some art of what would be the most perfect day at Rincon. 

So what does it look like when the most legendary San Diego brewery comes to Ventura to hang with MadeWest? Lots of beer "sampling", lots of doughnuts, too many laughs and a very competitive pingpong match (beer must be in hand at all times).
