American Craft Beer Week
Each year, beer enthusiasts celebrate the culture and community of craft brewers across the country. With over 6,000 independent craft brewers, the U.S. beer scene has gone from being not so serious and at times a joke, to the most exciting and respected craft beer culture in the world.
"Today, independent American craft brewers have succeeded in saving beer from homogenization, reclaimed beer’s place at the dinner table and introduced more than one generation to an age-old beverage that goes beyond simple refreshment — beyond taste even — a beverage that offers flavors and experiences as diverse as those who choose to enjoy it." - Andy Sparhawk
We salute all of the innovators, risk takers and brave souls that have pursued their dreams and worked so hard to contribute to this revolution and shape the beer culture we enjoy today.
For all these reasons, we invite you to pledge your support for independent craft during American Craft Beer Week, May 14 - 20 and seek the Independent Craft Brewers Seal.
How can you tell if a beer is made by an independently owned craft brewery? With Big Beer corporate monsters acquiring formerly independent craft breweries and marketing them as their own craft like brands, it can be really confusing to know who is who. Look for the Independent Craft Brewers Seal in the window of your favorite breweries, on packaging, and menus to know for sure that your purchase supports the cause.
Come on by for a beer this week and while you're at it, wear your pride by snagging one of our Drink Independent Beer Tees. And for a limited time, in honor of Craft Beer Week, CraftBeer.com will send you an awesome pin when you take the pledge.
