Job Description - Warehouse Assistant

Entry level, Full-time (40 hr/week)

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing, organizing, managing, and fulfilling orders for distribution, tasting room and customers
  • Conduct daily shipping and receiving for all orders and inventory receipt
  • Manage and organizing tasting room and production cold room coolers
  • Operate forklift, pallet truck, and hand truck to maneuver individual kegs, pallets of kegs, cases of cans and pallets of cans to fulfill orders and manage inventory
  • Maintain inventory records
  • Manually stack and re-stack cases or kegs as needed
  • Manually operate material handling equipment
  • Assist with all aspects of the packaging process including loading and unloading cans, packaging, packing, palletizing cans, preparing cans for shipment, cleaning and performing various maintenance functions
  • Maintain a clean brewery at all times and obey all safety instructions
  • Kegging, keg washing, assisting in canning line operations, beer line cleaning, warehouse shipping and receiving and assisting in daily brewery operations

  • Full mobility and physical capability to safely and effectively work in a brewery environment
  • Perform grasping, fine manipulation of small parts, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
  • Lift 55 lbs from ground to shoulder high repeatedly
  • Lift up to 150 lbs routinely
  • Able to stand, squat, walk, pull, push, kneel on uneven surfaces
  • Able to routinely climb\descend stairs and ladders
  • Work in small, hot, cold, loud and confined spaces with reasonable safety accommodations
  • Work on feet for an entire shift
  • Work safely with chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from sales staff, distributors, co-workers and management
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding team environment
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate several activities at the same time
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to evaluate and reassess priorities daily
  • Strong organizational skills, flexible, energetic, detail oriented and able to follow instructions precisely
